His actions follow a prophecy that a yet-to-be-identified Nigerian prophet pronounced on the head of his boss Davido, predicting that the Afrobeat supremo will be poisoned by a close confidant sooner rather than later.

The cleric had said; “I told you about one singer, Davido. They will poison him; I don’t know him and I have never seen him in my life.

They will put something in his drink; he will be rushed to the hospital, will be admitted and unconscious. The person that will poison him is sleeping in his house.

“I’ve been dealing with it in prayer but the lord said it will happen. And the person that will poison him is sleeping in his house. Somebody give the lord a clap offering.”
