Two rockets hit Baghdad Green Zone, a day after Iran missile attacks

A day after Tehran lanced ballistic missiles in Iraqi bases that housed American and other coalition forces, two rockets hit the Green zone in Iraq’s capital of Baghdad in response to the killing of its top general Qasem Soleimani, reports Wednesday.

In a statement, the Iraqi army said that two rockets of Katyusha had fallen in the green area, without any losses.

The White House and the Pentagon have yet to comment on these new developments at the time of this report.

The missiles were fired several hours after President Donald Trump said Iran seemed to standing down from US military conflict.
