When a giant monitor lizard walked into a 7-Eleven store in Thailand and started climbing the shelves, it caused confusion and panic.

People can be heard yelling and laughing in the background as the lizard climbs to the top of a shelf in a viral video.

According to video news website Newsflare, the incident occurred in Nakhon Pathom, a town just outside Bangkok.

A store employee called the police who then brought reptile handlers to catch the Godzilla-esque creature.

The handlers dragged the lizard out of the store and lured it towards a nearby brush.
