A video shared on social media captures a Nigerian police officer requesting a bribe from a Spanish motorcycle rider.

As the biker approached the checkpoint, the officer flagged him down. The officer then continued to ask him what he had for them after learning that he was coming from Spain.

The Spanish man said that he did not have any cash on him, but the police officer demanded that he give them something.

The Spaniard, on the other hand, claimed that he only has his card with him, which he plans to use to withdraw money when he arrives in Lagos.

The officer has been heavily criticised and condemned by Nigerians who say he is one of those who give the nation bad image.
