Widowed petty trader weeps after thief stole her carton of fish in Benue
A carton of fish belonging to a widowed petty trader in Benue state was robbed by an unidentified thief.
According to Smith Akom Takema, a spokesman for Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom, the widow bought a carton of iced fish on Tuesday, May 25, dropped it off at the usual spot where she does her business in the state’s Gboko local government area, and went to buy firewood.
She was devastated and inconsolable when she returned and found the carton of fish missing.
Reports also claim that someone came on a motorcycle and stole it.

A widow fries ice fish at the extreme of my fence, she bought a carton of ice fish this morning and dashed to a nearby firewood seller and someone came on the bike and picked it.
She is crying like the whole world has come on her. I am move to tears.” he wrote.
